In the course of plotting how I wanted it to go, (meshing nicely with the main series, I do have to say) I found that some of Mirnth's magic had far deeper meaning... and has indeed wound like thousand year old roots into the land itself.
This is giving me not only great joy in the discovery, but also great contemplative states. Wherein I find myself double and triple checking against already formed series and book plots, to make sure that this little novella ~ something I did to try and stave off the shoulder crushing of revisions ~ doesn't tip the scales.
Yeah... I just can't do anything little. Not in this world, anyway.
