Last night, my neighbor came over to give my computer new life...in fact an entire new hard drive was installed. So, in preporation I downloaded all of my projects, pictures, writing...everything onto my little usb portable brain.
Well, I goofed...sort of. Thank Goodness that I have two of these little characters, and the second one that I did for yesterdays 'surgery' was just a backup to the one I couldn't find till this morning.
Unfortunately, because I 'goofed'...I lost all of the typing I did of my short stories collection. Believe me, this is not as big a deal, as losing my full novels...that would have been devistating!! I still have the hard copies of the work, so I only truely lost the time invested so far in compiling them.
And from someone who has lost precious writing before...believe me, this is nothing but a 'little' setback.
